Upload files

You need edit access to the destination folder. If you are getting started, open My files, where you can create folders and upload your own materials.

  1. Open the folder where you want the file to appear.
  2. Select Upload.
  3. Choose one or more files in your device’s file picker.
  4. Follow the File transfer panel.
  5. Wait for Done. You can then select the file, open its details, and download a ready version.

If Upload is missing, check your folder permissions. Read access to Company files does not include permission to upload there.

A file can be up to 1 GiB, or 1024 MiB. Your organization’s server may enforce a smaller limit. Empty files cannot be uploaded.

Material Formats
Documents and text PDF, DOCX, ODT, RTF, TXT, MD
Spreadsheets XLSX, ODS, CSV
Presentations PPTX, ODP
Images JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, TIFF
Video MP4, MOV, WEBM
Archives ZIP, 7Z, RAR, TAR, GZ

Legacy DOC and XLS files are not included. ClodDoc checks both the extension and the file’s contents. Encrypted ZIP archives are not accepted; changing an extension does not convert a file into another format.

Status Meaning
Checking locally The app is preparing the file for transfer.
Transferring Data is being sent to the server.
Assembling file The server is finishing the transfer.
Awaiting scan / Virus scan Transfer is complete, but the safety check is still running.
Done The version is available for use.
Quarantine / Scan failed Your company administrator needs to investigate.

During a transfer, use Pause beside the file name. Select Resume when you are ready to continue.

After reloading the page, an unfinished task may ask you to select the source file again:

  1. Select Choose file again.
  2. Choose the same original file, rather than an edited copy.
  3. Select Resume.

If you see The selected file does not match the original, check whether its name, contents, or modification date changed. An unfinished server upload session lasts up to 24 hours. Transfers do not continue independently after you close the browser.

Cancel cancels the transfer task. To remove a file that is already ready, use Trash.

  • A file with this name already exists. Select that object and choose Upload new version, or rename the new file.
  • The file type is not allowed. Choose a format listed above. Operational documents have a separate format list.
  • The file is too large. Prepare a smaller file.
  • Upload failed. Check your connection and whether Resume is available.
  • Quarantine or scan failed. Contact your company administrator. Safety checks are separate from the transfer itself.
